Tammy Quinn is a certified 200 hour Dharma Mittra Yoga Instructor. She had been an avid runner for many years, but was forced to give it up in 2004 after having surgery to remove a herniated disc from her lumbar spine. In 2008, she took her first class in a yoga studio. It was after this class that her love and passion for yoga ignited. It wasn't long before she realized that yoga was more than just exercise and that her practice had given her a sense of real peace and well-being. In April, 2011, she completed the "200 Hour Life of a Yogi Teacher Training" with Sri Dharma Mittra and has loved teaching ever since!
Tammy continues her study of Asana, Meditation and Yoga Vedanta philosophy at Ananda Ashram, located in Monroe, NY. She has been visiting the ashram since May, 2013 and participates in the work-study program offered there.
Tammy’s style of teaching is a classic approach, incorporating Asana (postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises) and the basic principles of yoga to guide and inspire her students along in their own personal practice.
