Rachel Williams RYT-200
Rachel has been practicing yoga for over 14 years ever since she was introduced during her high school ski team. She has been hooked ever since. Rachel strongly believes that the benefits of yoga overflow into all facets of life, from injury prevention on the tennis court to patience and empathy in relationships. She became interested in teaching mindfulness and yoga to her students in her role as a school psychologist, so she became certified in the Yoga 4 Classrooms and Mindful Schools curricula. She began to implement mindfulness lessons at her school and used yoga and mindfulness techniques with students with disabilities. She then completed the 200 hour training at Jiiva and has begun teaching adults in addition to children. Her classes include sweaty alignment-based vinyasa flow, hands-on assists, pranayama, and meditation. One of Rachel’s favorite parts about teaching yoga is seeing the improvement and growth in her students and having the opportunity to witness personal successes and joys. Rachel’s other interests include hiking and reading. |
